There are so many names for this one day out of the year. Which one is right? Which one does Jesus teach? In the Old Testament, God told Israel to keep the Passover. It represented the fact that God delivered Israel out of the land of Egypt and out of Pharaoh's hands. It is called Passover because the death angel passed over all the houses that had blood on the door post and lintels. There was also a special diet that accompanied the Passover in the Old Testament. This teaching can be found in the book of Exodus, starting at chapter 12. After the instructions from God on the Passover, God gave Israel twelve commandments to live by. This can be found in Exodus Chapter 20, verses 1 through 17 . The word Easter is found in the Bible one time, in the book of Acts 12:4 . It is only mentioned. The Bible does not teach Easter. Easter is a pagan celebration. It has nothing to do with Jesus, the Church or salvation. Bunny rabbits, colored eggs, easter clothes, easter ca
