Holiness Has Not Changed

This is the day that the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Just thankful today for all the Lord has done and is doing.  Watching the Lord work in our lives is a wonder.  He is the great I am. Isaiah 44:8 says, "Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it?  ye are even my witnesses.  Is there a God beside me?  Yea, there is no God: i know not any.  Then in Isaiah 45: 5, 6 he says, "I am the Lord and there is none else, there in no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou has not known me: That they man know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me.  I am the Lord, and there is none else. There is no other God but the great I am and his  name is Jesus. I thank God For Jesus Christ.  For it is in Him  that we live, move and have our being.  Even if you do not acknowledge him or serve him, is is still in Him that you live, move and have your being.  The Lord is good.

Being a Pastor is not an easy task.  Caring about people is not an easy task.  However, both are necessary.  It takes the call of the Lord on a life to Pastor Gods flock. In random conversations with people, I find a trend that most are beginning to to accept the Gospel message as unnecessary to enter into Heaven.  Most are looking for relief, answers to life's problems or family issue somewhere else.  And, yes, there have been many that have failed in the Church and that tends to make it appear as if the the Church is not necessary, irrelevant. There is sickness everywhere.  People all over are getting killed or hurt by life an/or situations.  Children are being hurt and misused.  I have many ask me where is God if all this is going on?  Why doesn't He do something, since He is God. But rarely do I hear anyone say, most of what is happening in the world around us is due to man turning his back on God.  I do not hear a lot of people saying this.  The wages of sin is still

We had an Evangelist come through this past Sunday.  The service truly made you look at yourself and ask yourself, "what are you doing for the Kingdom of God"? Going to Church is good.  The Bible instructs the people of God to assemble together.  But, assembling together is not serving the Lord.  When we go to Church, it is to receive instruction in righteousness, offer praise and worship unto the most high God, fellowship with other believers and give to help support the ministry.  But the Word of God also tells us to go out into the highways and byways and compel men, women, boys and girls to come to the House of the Lord (Luke 14:23 'And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the high ways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled'). Then the question was asked, 'how many souls have you won to the Lord'? It is not enough to gather together, pray, sing, shout, listen to the Word.  After all these things, the believer must

In the book of Genesis chapter 3, you find Adam and Eve in the garden.  Along comes the Serpent.  The Bible says the serpent was more subtil than any other beast of the field (verse 1). The Lord God had given instructions to Adam, the man, not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of  good and evil (Gen. 2:17).  In the garden, the serpent spoke to Eve and told her that which was contrary to the command of God.  The serpent did not go to Adam. In verse 2, the woman tells the serpent what God said.  But the scriptures do not address who told the woman the commandment of God concerning the tree.  After talking with the serpent, the woman 'saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, a tree to be desired to make one wise' (verse 6).   Then, the woman gave of the same fruit to Adam to eat.  At that moment, mankind fell from grace. Everyday you hear of someone professing Christ, but not living the life or believing in living the way the Bible says.  Everyday you hear of some Hollywood person or worldly entertainer being a Christian.  But, Christian means Christ like.  The Bible says the disciples were first called Christians at Antioch ( Acts 11:26).  A disciple is one that follows someones teachings.  The disciples in the Bible followed the teachings of Christ.  The teachings of Christ are found in the four Gospels.  The works of Christ (Holy Ghost) and His instruction to His followers  are found in the books  Acts through Revelation.  Everyone has a soul.  The soul is not going back to the dust.  Helping the soul of a man find out how to enter  into eternal rest in Heave  is the purpose of the Church.  Keeping the soul from spending its eternal resting place in hell is the purpose of the Church too.  For Jesus came to seek and save the lost.    In order for a soul to spend eternity in rest, requires salvation

Today, I understand much better what the scripture means in Matthew 5:11,12, "Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you". Never has there been a time when men come against the Holy standards of the Lord like they do today.  Everything is accepted and o.k.  It is becoming 'wrong' to obey the scriptures.  For the first time in my life, I heard with my own ears someone call the Church 'b_ _ _ _ _ _t'.  Lord have mercy. God said he chose the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe (I Cor.l 1:21). The sad part is folks are going to die and go to hell if they do not repent of their sins.  It does not matter how good of a person you are, how much you help the poor or the sick, you must be born again of the water and the spirit.  It grieves
