The Bible teaches that the Saint of God is to be in the world but not of the world.  The Saint of God must be careful and make sure he or she is following the teachings of the Bible.    The Saint is not to love the world nor get caught up in its devises.  More time must be spent in meditation, prayer, Bible study, church attendance.

If you call Jesus right, he will hear you and come see about you.  Ask blind Bartimaeus. The scriptures says in St. Mark 10:46-52 that Jesus, His disciples and a great number of people were leaving Jericho.  Blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.  Blind Bartimaeus could not see.  He did not know what Jesus looked like.  He only knew what he heard. Blind Bartimaeus began to cry out to Jesus, "Jesus, thou son of David have mercy on me".  When the people tried to stop him, he cried out the more so, "Thou son of David, have mercy on me".  He did no let people keep him from calling on the Lord.  He must have heard about the miracles, healing, deliverance that took place at the hand of the Lord. Music was one of the things that drew me to want to go to Church when I was not saved.   I use to love to hear and 'feel' the spirit of the songs.  Back then, the singers would sing unto the Lord.  They were not paid to sing.  They were not seeking recording contracts.  They would sing unto the Lord.  The would sing about the Lord.  So, when one went to hear the singers, your soul got touched whether you wanted it to or not.
