I quoted a scripture the other day and someone tried to correct me with their interpretation. I looked at it again and it came to me. This is what most are doing today when it comes to the Word of God, The Bible. They are taking the Bible, and redefining it based on what they feel, what they think, what someone else said, what someone else thinks, what they read some where.
The Word of God is the Word of God. It makes not difference what man says, the Bible is right. In Revelations chapter 22: 18-19 it says, "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God will add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
Why are people teaching and preaching things the Bible does not support, teach or say? It is a dangerous thing to add to or take away from the word of God. What makes it even worse is when those that change it teach others the lies.
God said what He meant and meant what He said. Do not change the word of God so it fits the flesh. Changing the Word of God will cause all that obey the lies to not go to Heaven. The movies may make it look like you can live any kind of way and do what ever you feel like and make it to Heaven. But, the Bible does not teach this.
It is not popular to preach the Word like it is written. It is not popular to teach the Word like it is written. But, the Word is still right. It kind of helps us understand the scripture that says, "And many shall be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But, he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Matthew 24:10-13
A good minister will keep the brethren in remembrance of what thus said the Lord (I Timothy 4).
