#Change, #Help, #Answer, #Jesus Christ

Several years ago, The Lord spoke to my heart.  He told me a time was going to come when people are going to be  asking for help, and there will not be any.  He said we would have to watch as people went through.  That did not sound too Holy.  The Chruch is suppose to be the place where help can be found.  Just when I said that, The Lord reminded me, "The Church is the place where people can find the help and deliverance they need."  So why still puzzled?  He helped me to see that the time would come when people will not want the Chruch.  People will want just the blessings.

In the book of I Samuel, the scriptures teach that Israel wanted to be like everyone else and have a KIng.  They did not want the Prophet of The Lord.  They wanted a king (I Samuel 8:5).  Samuel proceeded to tell them how the King would treat them.  But they insisted on having a King rule over them.  In verse 22 of the same book, God spoke to Samuel and said, "Harken unto their voice, and make them a King."  The name of that King?  Saul.

God let the people have what they wanted.  The King disobeyed God.  The King led the people to disobey God.  The end results?  When the people should have been blessed of The Lord, they had to suffer because of disobedience.

The Lord gave Saul instructions to go destroy the Amalekites, all of them and everything they owned (I Samuel 15:3).  Saul did not obey.  The Bible says he kept the Amalike King (Agag), and the best of the sheep an of the oxen and of the ftlings, and the lambs, and all that was good and would not utterly destroy them: (verse 9).  What was their error?  They did not obey the Lords command.  The result of their disobedience?  The kingdom was rent from Saul and given to a neighbor of thine that is better than thou ( I Samuel 15:28).

Jesus Christ, the savior of the world, who came to seek the lost and give them everlasting life is rejected today.  For, in order for obtain the gift of eternal life, one must repent of his or her sin, be baptized in the Name of Jesus for the remission of those sins, and wait on the infilling of the Holy Ghost (if it does not take place at the baptism).  No one wants to obey this command (Acts 2:38, John 3:3,5-7).  But everyone wants to go to Heaven and everyone wants The Lord to solve their problems and fix their pain.

Yes He is merciful.  Yes, He is kind and loving.  But, He is also Holy.

Men want their bills paid, but do not want Jeus.  Men want their problems and hurts fixed, but do not want Jesus.  Men want to prosper, but do not want Jesus.

Just the mention of going to Church, going to Bible Study, praying, seeking The Lord receives an answer of 'no'.  But when trouble comes, they want the Church to pray.

On any given Sunday as I drive to the Church I see people up early running, walking their dog, washing the car, cutting the grass, etc.  What about going to Church?  Some sleep in.  Some will go on a Sunday outing.  But what about going to Church?  The Church is the place The Lord set up for souls to meet with him to obtain salvation.  How shall they hear without a preacher?

When man turns his back on God, God has no choice but to let man turn.   Man rejects God and then God rejects man.

I Samuel 15:10-11 says, "Then came the word of The Lord unto Samuel, saying, It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and has not performed my commandments."  The promises of The Lord are for His people.  Too many seem to think the promises can be obtained without Jesus Christ.  Not so.
