#Prayer

It is more than mumbling words in  a building.

"Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually".  I Chronicles 16:11

"Take with you words, and turn to the Lord: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously; so will we render the calves of our lips."  Hosea 14:2

 "Pray without ceasing."  I Thessalonians 5:17

"Is any among you afflicted?  let him pray."  James 5:13a

"For this child I prayed; and the Lord hath given me my petition which I asked of Him."  I Samuel 1:27

"Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.  The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."  James 5:16

It is truly times for the people of God to pray.

If you call Jesus right, he will hear you and come see about you.  Ask blind Bartimaeus. The scriptures says in St. Mark 10:46-52 that Jesus, His disciples and a great number of people were leaving Jericho.  Blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.  Blind Bartimaeus could not see.  He did not know what Jesus looked like.  He only knew what he heard. Blind Bartimaeus began to cry out to Jesus, "Jesus, thou son of David have mercy on me".  When the people tried to stop him, he cried out the more so, "Thou son of David, have mercy on me".  He did no let people keep him from calling on the Lord.  He must have heard about the miracles, healing, deliverance that took place at the hand of the Lord. #A Lot of Singing,#Shouting,#Tongue Talking,#Playing

Music was one of the things that drew me to want to go to Church when I was not saved.   I use to love to hear and 'feel' the spirit of the songs.  Back then, the singers would sing unto the Lord.  They were not paid to sing.  They were not seeking recording contracts.  They would sing unto the Lord.  The would sing about the Lord.  So, when one went to hear the singers, your soul got touched whether you wanted it to or not. I can remember going to the Holiness Churches.  The praise was different too.  When the Saints praised God back then, it was real.  When the Saints did dance 'in the Spirit', it was real.  You could feel it.  There was always this 'presence' in the Holiness Church that I could not explain....then.  But that presence kind of held you captive, whether you wanted it o or not.  And, sometimes Church would go on for hours, but no one cared.  And, if one of the Saints said something to you that t...
