In conversation, a young lady was discussing how many people today do not believer in Heaven or hell any more. People do not believe there is a higher power or God in Heaven. People say they know right from wrong on their own and do not need anyone to tell them or teach them different.
Jesus wept.
At first I was a little taken aback. But then I remembered the scripture that says: "in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils, speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;" I Timothy 4:1,2
How can anyone not believe their is a God? How is the blood running warm in the veins? How is the hair and nails on your body growing? How does the body know what to do with food and drink when ingested? How do the bodily functions move on their own? How does the tongue taste and signals get sent to the brain that 'this tastes good' or 'this does not taste good'? How does the brain know to send signals?
How do the eyes work? The ears? How does your brain work to tell you legs to move so you can walk? Or tell your arms to move? How do flowers know to grow? Birds know to fly? How do clouds release water? How does the earth rotate, the sun and the moon and never run into each other? How does the ocean know to stay in its boundaries and not flood the earth? How can it be snowing thousands of miles up in the sky and 90 degrees in your state? How can it be storming in part of a state and be sunny in another part? How can it rain on one side of town and be completely dry on another? How can it be raining on one side of the street and not on the other?
From the beginning the adversary, the devil, has worked to discredit what Jesus did on Calvary. I Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour."
Do not be deceived. Hell is real. Heaven is real. The soul that sinneth shall die! Hebrews 9:27 says, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." II Peter 2:9 says, "The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished;"
In the beginning God created the Heavens and the earth. The earth is the Lords and the fulness thereof. There is a God. And his name is Jesus! Be not deceived. The soul that sinneth, it shall die. Ezekiel 18;4b
