Holiness Has Not Changed

The Bible says  the wages of sin is death.  That means the soul of the sinner will not make it into Heaven.  Most recently there has been much talk in the news about laws being passed to accept, as right,  the gay, homosexual life style.   The Bible, the Word of God, tells us that this is sin.  The laws of the land can not change the Word of God or the judgement that will take place in time because of sin.  Man can say it is ok, but the Word of God says it is sin. During Bible study  this past Tuesday, the Lord had us to ask a question.  The question was, 'how do you show that you love Jesus?'  Sounds like an easy question to answer.  But when it was asked, the answers that come forth were answers using scriptures.  But that is now how you answer the question. What do you do that says you love Jesus?  The Bible says for God so loved the world that he 'gave' his only begotten son.  How did God show his love?  He gave.  He did something for the sake of another, us.  He left heaven, came to earth, put on a robe of flesh, called the flesh son and then gave it a name above all names, Jesus. What do you do that shows that you love Jesus?  It is more to it that attending Church, singing, praising God, paying your tithe and giving your offering.  What do you do that shows that you love Jesus?  What have you given of yourself?  What sacrifices have you made for the sake of someone e...

A question was asked about scriptures to use when counseling individuals involved in abuse situations.  I have learned from experience that Saved people do not abuse others.  They do not abuse verbally or physically.  In the Church building, if someone is being abused, it is not at the hands of a Saint. It was asked should divorce be encouraged.  As a preacher, it is not my place to tell a married couple to divorce.  It is my place to tell the truth based on the Word of God.  One thing the Word of God does say is this, "Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless, and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murders of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;"  I Timothy 1:9 Subject close...

This scripture is on my heart this morning.  Revelations 12:11, "And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death". True victory over sin and evil takes more than repeating cute sounding sayings.  Do not allow the spirit of hype make you to believe victory is yours.  The adversary of your soul knows what the Word of God says.  Over coming requires testimony.  One has to have to profession of Holiness.  For in Holiness there is not denomination, but Holy Ghost Power in operation.  In Holiness all of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ is believed and followed.  And as the Saint walk in the Holiness, they witness the saving power of God and they tell what the Lord has done or rather is doing for them.  When Jesus Christ shed His blood on  Calvary, He was making a way for whosoever will to enter into Holiness and walk in victory. Psalms 19:7-8, "The law of God is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure making wise the simple.  The statues of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes". Verse 14: "Let the words of my mouth and the mediation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer". The word of the Lord is perfect.  That means there is nothing wrong with it, nothing to change, nothing to add.  It is perfect.
