A question was asked about scriptures to use when counseling individuals involved in abuse situations. I have learned from experience that Saved people do not abuse others. They do not abuse verbally or physically. In the Church building, if someone is being abused, it is not at the hands of a Saint.
It was asked should divorce be encouraged. As a preacher, it is not my place to tell a married couple to divorce. It is my place to tell the truth based on the Word of God. One thing the Word of God does say is this, "Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless, and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murders of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;" I Timothy 1:9
