Holiness: #Testimony,#Your Past,#Jesus Saves: This scripture is on my heart this morning. Revelations 12:11, "And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of the...
Many start, but do not finish. Many once ran well, but now have allowed that which is contrary to scripture to run their lives. The scriptures bear this out in Galatians chapter three. "O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, " Galatians 3:1 "Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye n ow made perfect by the flesh?" Galatians 3:3 The Lord is calling the roll. Are you ready? Revelations 16:15 "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame." steadfastapostolic.com
If you call Jesus right, he will hear you and come see about you. Ask blind Bartimaeus. The scriptures says in St. Mark 10:46-52 that Jesus, His disciples and a great number of people were leaving Jericho. Blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. Blind Bartimaeus could not see. He did not know what Jesus looked like. He only knew what he heard. Blind Bartimaeus began to cry out to Jesus, "Jesus, thou son of David have mercy on me". He must have heard about the miracles, healing, deliverance that took place at the hand of the Lord. Jesus heard the cry of Blind Bartimaeus. It was the sound of the cry that revealed to the Lord that Blind Bartimaeus was calling out in a blind state, but yet believing something would happen if he could get the attention of Je...
Music was one of the things that drew me to want to go to Church when I was not saved. I use to love to hear and 'feel' the spirit of the songs. Back then, the singers would sing unto the Lord. They were not paid to sing. They were not seeking recording contracts. They would sing unto the Lord. The would sing about the Lord. So, when one went to hear the singers, your soul got touched whether you wanted it to or not. I can remember going to the Holiness Churches. The praise was different too. When the Saints praised God back then, it was real. When the Saints did dance 'in the Spirit', it was real. You could feel it. There was always this 'presence' in the Holiness Church that I could not explain....then. But that presence kind of held you captive, whether you wanted it o or not. And, sometimes Church would go on for hours, but no one cared. And, if one of the Saints said something to you that t...
