#Judgment of God,#It Is Coming,#It Is Not Popular To Say
In the book of Zephaniah, the scriptures tell of the judgment of God towards Judah because of sin. When this scripture is read, it can appear to be harsh and not representative of the God the modern Church says it knows. But, Jesus Christ (God manifested in the flesh) is the same yesterday, today and forever. Therefore, the same God in Zephaniah is the same God now. The same God of judgment in Zephaniah is the same God that is going to judge the Church and the world when time ends.
The prophecies that tell of the second coming of the Lord are occurring even now. The believer can never stop examining itself to see whether or not it is in the faith. Time is running out.
"The word of the Lord which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah. I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the Lord. And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, the Lord will not do good, neither will he do evil. The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness." Zephaniah 1,212,14,15
It is not what people want to hear. It is more acceptable to write about being blessed, happy, the Lord helping you....... But there is a reality that judgment day is coming. The Lord is going to judge the every man. And, that judgment will be based upon how life was lived in accordance to the Bible.
"Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger." Zephaniah 2:3
"Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? and if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? I Peter 4:16-18
