Holiness Has Not Changed

They are everywhere. Be careful who you listen to.  Your soul is at stake.

There is something about Sunday morning.  Even when I was in the world, Sunday morning had this feeling to it.  Back then, even after spending Saturday night living a life contrary to the word of God, Sunday morning always did something to me.  And, I was not raised going to Church.  We went to Church occasionally. Much discussion takes place about the Sabbath Day.  All I know is, there is something about Sunday Morning.  Is it the first day of the week or the last day of the week?  I do not know.  All I know is, it is Sunday Morning. Even right now, I feel the peace of God in my soul.  I feel His presence as I write.  I feel Him dealing with my heart.  And yes, it is Sunday Morning. I pray all that will read this today will remember the Lord.  Remember what He did on the cross when He gave up His life.  Remember that His love is what caused Him to die on a cross.  Remember that He died so you might have life. ...

What would it profit me if I gain the world and lose my soul what would it profit me. Being saved is what counts,

"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.  But in vain they do worship me teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."  John 15:8 It is easy to say words that are not meant.  To say words just to say something or to get the attention of someone.  Jesus said these people (hypocrites) just talk.  They will talk about Jesus and how wonderful he is, how loving he is, how he takes care of them, how he provides for them, how he blesses them...all these things will the hypocrite say with his mouth.  But inside the heart, Jesus is no where to be found.    Saying one thing with your mouth and another thing with the mouth is hypocrisy.  The Lord wants the heart of a person, not just words. Even in life one can find that it is easy for someone to utter the words 'I love you' but the actions say different. Jesus loves man so that he died for the sins of mankind.  W...

Born again.  When is the last time you heard that phrase in association with someone going to church? In the  Gospel of John chapter three Nicodemus asked Jesus a question after Jesus made this statement: "Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."   John 3:3 .  Nicodemus asked Jesus, "How can a man be born when he is old?  can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, "Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of flesh is flesh; and what which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."   John 3:5-7 . With interest, I have listening to teachings on how to 'tap in' to the power of God.  I listened because the ones bringing the word professed to be Saints of God.  When I hear Saints of God,  my heart identifies with what the Bible says.  A Saint of God has repented of sin, been baptized in the Name of Jesus for the remission of those sins, and filled with the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit give utterance.  So I listened. In listening there was something I did not hear.  I did not hear the Teacher mention the Holy Ghost one time, not one time as being the one that has the power and gives the power.  How can a person 'tap into' the power of God?  The Bible says 'but ye shall receive power,  after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."  Acts 1" So, how in the  Name of Je...
