Many start, but do not finish. Many once ran well, but now have allowed that which is contrary to scripture to run their lives. The scriptures bear this out in Galatians chapter three. If you call Jesus right, he will hear you and come see about you. Ask blind Bartimaeus. The scriptures says in St. Mark 10:46-52 that Jesus, His disciples and a great number of people were leaving Jericho. Blind Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. Blind Bartimaeus could not see. He did not know what Jesus looked like. He only knew what he heard. Blind Bartimaeus began to cry out to Jesus, "Jesus, thou son of David have mercy on me". When the people tried to stop him, he cried out the more so, "Thou son of David, have mercy on me". He did no let people keep him from calling on the Lord. The Bible says the wages of sin is death. That means the soul of the sinner will not make it into Heaven.
