Holiness Has Not Changed

Ten years ago today was my first live radio broadcast on KCHL Gospel 1480 AM at 9:15am.  I remember being concerned about how I would sound, if I would make mistakes. The radio announcer, Shouting Sister Gail, was kind enough to speak words of instruction and encouragement.  Ten years later, with the help and wisdom of the Lord, I'm still preaching and teaching His word live on radio.  And, the message has not changed in ten years. It is still holiness or hell. I give God the praise. Pastor Webb

It is December 26, 2014.  The one day of the year when a whole lot of people live a lie has past. Jesus never did instruct His people to observe a day when He was born.  He never did.  But December 25th is a day that millions adhere to as the day Jesus was born. No where in the Bible is this said. We Google everything else, but Christmas.  All one has to do is look it up.  Christmas is not of God.  It never has been and it never will be.  Why won't people look it up?  No lie is of the truth. If you want to spend time with your family, do it.  If you want to buy a person you love a gift, do it. If you want to feed the hungry, do it.  If you want to help the poor and indigent, do it.  You can do these two things all year long. Why go to Church during christmas time and not the rest of the year? No lie is of the truth.

If you have ever been on in a court of law, before one testifies they are sworn to tell the truth and nothing but the truth.  If it is that way in the world, why is it man tries to change it for the Church? It will take the truth of the Gospel to save the soul.  And, the Church is charged with preaching and telling the truth according to the Word of God. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life".  The scriptures also say, 'sanctify them through thy truth: they word is truth."  John 17:17.  And, who is the word?  The word is God (John 1:1).   John 1: 14 says, "And the word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." You may not like what the Bible says.  You may agree with some parts and disagree with others.  But, it takes all of the Word to be saved.  Not just the part you like. I was reading something where a question was asked about churches or ministers having a covering.  The question centered around what to do if a ministry is successful without a covering.  There was much dialog.  And, then I asked a question, "where in the Bible does it say a minister has to have a covering by another man or woman or organization?"  And, yes, there was much discussion. I have found that if the Lord calls you into the ministry, He qualifies you prepares you.  For a successful ministry is saving souls, not counting heads or money.  Then I read a scripture in Isaiah that says, "Woe to the rebellious children, saith the Lord, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but NOT OF MY SPIRIT, that they may add sin to sin."  (Isaiah 30:1)  This verse of scripture is saying the Holy Ghost is the covering for counsel.  It seems to be saying if counsel is taken else where and not be of Him adds sin to sin. Some equate the love the Bible speaks of with carnality, emotions, feelings, words.  But when one studies the word of God, the Bible teaches that love is something that is done.  And, it is not always buying or giving stuff, but love can be shown in thoughts and deeds. There is a seriousness and stillness that the Lord is looking for.  The seriousness is required to pursue what the Lord is commanding.  The stillness is required so one can hear what the Lord is commanding.  The adversary is speaking too.  And, many are being led astray by his words.  If the Lord says to do something, do it.  If the Lord says not to do something, do not do it.  The Bible is the instruction.  The Holy Ghost is the power that will cause obedience. In the book of Jeremiah, the Lord has us to consider the Rechabites.  A people that adhered to the instruction and teaching of their elders concerning strong drink, where they were to live and what they were to plant and eat.  When the Rechabites were tempted to go against their teaching, they did not.  They held to what they had been instructed to do. There is something about Sunday morning.  Even when I was in the world, Sunday morning had this feeling to it.  Back then, even after spending Saturday night living a life contrary to the word of God, Sunday morning always did something to me.  And, I was not raised going to Church.  We went to Church occasionally. Much discussion takes place about the Sabbath Day.  All I know is, there is something about Sunday Morning.  Is it the first day of the week or the last day of the week?  I do not know.  All I know is, it is Sunday Morning. Even right now, I feel the peace of God in my soul.  I feel His presence as I write.  I feel Him dealing with my heart.  And yes, it is Sunday Morning. I pray all that will read this today will remember the Lord.  Remember what He did on the cross when He gave up His life.  Remember that His love is what caused Him to die on a cross.  Remember that He died so you might have life.  Not just so your could breathe, but life. What would it profit me if I gain the world and lose my soul what would it profit me. Being saved is what counts,

"This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.  But in vain they do worship me teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."  John 15:8 It is easy to say words that are not meant.  To say words just to say something or to get the attention of someone.  Jesus said these people (hypocrites) just talk.  They will talk about Jesus and how wonderful he is, how loving he is, how he takes care of them, how he provides for them, how he blesses them...all these things will the hypocrite say with his mouth.  But inside the heart, Jesus is no where to be found.    Saying one thing with your mouth and another thing with the mouth is hypocrisy.  The Lord wants the heart of a person, not just words. Even in life one can find that it is easy for someone to utter the words 'I love you' but the actions say different. Born again.  When is the last time you heard that phrase in association with someone going to church? In the  Gospel of John chapter three Nicodemus asked Jesus a question after Jesus made this statement: "Jesus answered and said unto him, verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."   John 3:3 .  Nicodemus asked Jesus, "How can a man be born when he is old?  can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?  Jesus answered, "Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of flesh is flesh; and what which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."   John 3:5-7 . With interest, I have listening to teachings on how to 'tap in' to the power of God.  I listened because the ones bringing the word professed to be Saints of God.  When I hear Saints of God,  my heart identifies with what the Bible says.  A Saint of God has repented of sin, been baptized in the Name of Jesus for the remission of those sins, and filled with the Holy Ghost evidenced by speaking in other tongues as the Spirit give utterance.  So I listened. In listening there was something I did not hear.  I did not hear the Teacher mention the Holy Ghost one time, not one time as being the one that has the power and gives the power.  How can a person 'tap into' the power of God?  The Bible says 'but ye shall receive power,  after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."  Acts 1" So, how in the  Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth c

When it comes to your soul, who are you following?  Some follow people.  Some follow a man or a woman.  They like how he or she does certain things, so they follow them.  Those that follow people, tend to try and please people.  So, when it comes to your soul, who are you following? Man can not save you.  Woman can not save you.  Jesus saves.  In the Bible, Jesus called his disciples one by one.  Each one that he called, he said, "follow me".  At no times did Jesus ever tell his disciples to follow anyone of anything else. In Matthew 8:22 the scriptures speak to a certain disciple that said unto Jesus, "suffer me first to go and bury my father.  But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead." In the book of Isaiah chapter 55 verse 7 and 8 it says, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him, and to our God for he will abundantly pardon.  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways my ways saith the Lord". One of the down falls of mankind when it comes to the Church, the Bible and salvation is man continues to try and make his or her own way to be saved or be in the Church.  The verse above says to let the wicked forsake his way and his thoughts.  This is the word of the Lord. Anytime man comes up a saying or teaching that is not supported by the Word of God as found in the Bible from Genesis to Revelations, that mans sayings and/or teaching is WRONG.  Too many people are setting under false teaching as relates to the soul and salvation. Once can not afford to get so busy that you start to do things on your on, on schedule.  When we get too busy, we start making schedules, pre-emptying out time, until the Lord no longer has a place in our lives.  A person can get too busy 'doing the Lords work', until things become routine. The Church can not afford to be too busy until it can not hear from the Lord. It takes time to seek the Lord. It is not something that can be done at the drop of a hat.  To enter into the presence of the Lord and fellowship with Him takes time.  The Bible says the Lords ways are not our ways and his thoughts are not our thoughts.  They use to sing a song that says, 'you can't hurry God, no no no no, you have to wait'.  The same still holds true today. I love the Word of God.  I love to hear it preached, un-compromised. It is a blessing to be reminded of the standards of the Lord. To be reminded of what He is going to accept and what He is going to reject.  To be reminded that a person only has the amount of time the Lord allows him or her to live to prepare to meet Him.  To be reminded that in that life time, one does not know when the death angel is going to be dispatched to take them out of this world. Several years ago, The Lord spoke to my heart.  He told me a time was going to come when people are going to be  asking for help, and there will not be any.  He said we would have to watch as people went through.  That did not sound too Holy.  The Chruch is suppose to be the place where help can be found.  Just when I said that, The Lord reminded me, "The Church is the place where people can find the help and deliverance they need."  So why still puzzled?  He helped me to see that the time would come when people will not want the Chruch.  People will want just the blessings. In the book of I Samuel, the scriptures teach that Israel wanted to be like everyone else and have a KIng.  They did not want the Prophet of The Lord.  They wanted a king (I Samuel 8:5).  Samuel proceeded to tell them how the King would treat them.  But they insisted on having a King rule over them.  In verse 22 of the same book, God spoke to Samuel and said, "Harken unto their voice, and make them a

Recently, the subject of domestic abuse has been a point of discussion.  Some of the comments made and opinions given were interesting.  The ones that caught my attention were the ones that made it seem like the females actions provoked the abuse.  Those that make those type of statements do not know what they are talking about.  Unless you have experienced abuse or known of someone close to you that has experienced abuse, you have no idea how it feels or what it does. A woman does not provoke abuse.....not abuse.  Abuse is something that occurs once and then continues over time.  And, yes a one time event is just as much abuse as that which occurs over time. A woman should never be made to feel she deserves to be hurt, ever. Some try to connect abuse with submission.  A submissive woman is not an abused woman.   Submission should not be used to support the abuse of a woman. I have had conversations with men that think women are beneath them.  It is hard to believe that in 2014,

This is the day that The Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in if. You even when it seems like you're not going to make it, the Lord is yet still with us. For this is a day that he has made. If he is your Lord and Savior, he will see you through this day too.  It's just good to know who Jesus is. And it's a joy and a pleasure and peace beyond all understanding to serve Him. The Lord dropped this in my heart as I woke up this morning.  He said, "what you want is the driving force behind what you do"  After He spoke it, I woke up. The desire of my heart is for souls to be saved.  But, if those we minister to do not want to be saved, they will not do what it takes to get saved. The Bible is very clear.  It says, 'except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'  John 3:3b. Then verse five to seven says, 'Jesus answered, verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of the water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That  which is flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.  Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."  John 3:5-7 And, if what I desire/want is to see souls saved, then I have to Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine (II Timothy 4),  and earnestly contend for th

Flesh is no good.  It wars against the Holy Ghost.  It wars against what is right.  It will even war against the one wearing it.   In Romans 7:18-21  states: "For I know that in me (that is in my flesh, dwelleth no good thing; for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.  For the good that I would I do not, but the evil which I would not, that I do.  No if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.  I find then a law, that when I would do good, evil is present with me." Flesh needs no help doing wrong.  That is why for those striving to make it to Heaven, you have to crucify the the flesh and the works there of.  John 6:63 says, "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing. The Bible tells us what the works of the flesh are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murd

"And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil."  john 3:19 "For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved."  John 3:20 When i came into holiness the Saints would tell us, 'light and dark do not mix'.  In other words, one can not live two lives.  A person can not go to church, profess Christ and still do wordly things.  You can not preach, sing in the choir, usher, etc and profess Christ.  Light and dark do not mix. The Bible teaches that the time would come when men would be lovers of themselves more than lovers of God.  Men would have a form of godiless but deny the power there of.  Men would do that which is right in their own eyes and not according to the word of God.  Seems like that time is now.                                    'When Everything Else Moves You, But the Things of God" It would be the Star Spangle Banner (today is July 4th).  it could be good news about something you care about (family,a job promotion or raise).  It could be an answered prayer.  It could be a move ( what I think is called a tear jerk er).  All of these things can 'move a person'.  By move a person I mean, make one cry, laugh with joy, run, yell out.  The news is so good it just, moves you. Jesus Saves. I have been in stores where the sales are so good that people call relatives and friends to come to the sale.  They want their relatives and friends to benefit from the sale (good news).  Saving money, good news right? Jesus Saves. It could be a good report from the doctor.  Or, a good report from the lawyer or judge.  Tears of joy would flow.  Why?  Good news. Jesus Saves. Man will not live always.  One day man will die.  The flesh will go back to the dust and the

Most of the blogs are teachings on how to get saved and then stay saved. The  Bible is the only reference used.  With so much going on and so much false teaching, now more than ever the Word of God needs to go out.  If one person is saved through all this, amen.  For this is the purpose of the Church.  Jesus said he came to seek and save the lost.  Most just do not realize they are lost. Good job, nice home, nice car, extra money in the bank, but lost.  Nice friends, even attend a church regularly, but lost.  Will give to charity every now and then, but still lost.  Children grow up to be good, contributing citizens, but still lost. The longer the Lord delays his coming, the more wicked man becomes.  And even some of those that profess to love the Lord are taking on the ways of the wicked.  I thought about the scripture that says, "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall  see the Lord."  Hebrews 12:14. I had the privilage to attend a service this morning for a womens meeting.  The lesson was taught by the Pastor, a male.  His subject was about Jacobs only daughter, Dinah.  He brought out some points that blessed my soul. For example, Dinah was Jacobs only daughter.  When Jacob's sons were born, their mother, Leah, proclaimed a blessing from The Lord for each of them.  But when Dinah was born, she did not mentioned her a being a blessing from The Lord.  I could have been many reasons for this.  The Pastor brought out how it could have been because having sons was considered a blessing.  It could have been because Leah knew the plight of a female and having  daughter reminded her of that. The scripture goes on to say how Dinah left her kingdom to go see the daughters of the land (Genesis 34:1).  There could have been many reasons why Dinah left the kingdom.  But in the world, she was found of the man Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite.  The Bible says he took her, and  defiled her

There are a lot of teachings about the Church, salvation, Jesus, Heaven, etc.  There are a lot of teachings that attempt to explain a way for a person to receive from the Lord, be blessed of the Lord, have all their problems solved by the Lord. I heard something last evening that made me shutter.  The teaching made reference to 'tapping into' the Holy Ghost.  There is not one scripture in the Bible that supports this, not one.  As I listened, I could hear how those that do not know the truth would accept this false teaching.  Even give money to 'tap into' the Holy Ghost. The power of the Holy Ghost is not for sale and it can not be tapped into.  This type of teaching falls in line with those that say a person is born with this power in them and they have to come to the realization of tapping into it.  The Bible does not teach this. When I read about or hear about a woman being abused by a man it disturbs my spirit.  What is even more disturbing is when it done by a man that says he is saved, loves Jesus or one that professes to be an Evangelist, Pastor, Prophet, Teacher or Apostle. I have talked with women that have said and showed signs that their saved husband abused them.  In public, he is the perfect brother.  But at home, he is not. This should not be. Abuse can be physical or emotional.  A lot of the abuse in by those that profess Christ is emotional.  Yelling, down grading, jealously are all emotional abuse tactics.   Making false accusations, making degrading comments are all emotional abuse tactics. This should not be. How can you speak and be kind to others, but talk in a degrading way to your spouse?  How can you help others and then your wife is left to live like she is a single woman.  If she speaks to another male, false accusations are made against her. I do not argue with anyone regarding what is written in the Bible. Gods word is forever settled in Heaven.  The call on my life from the Lord is to preach and teach the Word of God.  That's what I have been called to do. I take preaching seriously.  Come to Bible study. Sit and learn Gods word. Sometimes what we think we know is not found in scripture. Time for Church

The Saints say, “When I think of the goodness of Jesus and all He’s done for me.  My soul cries out alleluia!  Thank God for saving me.  This is what my heart is saying right now. To have the Lord Jesus Christ draw you to repentance and then give you a new mind and a new heart, both now wanting to do His will according to the Scriptures.    John 6:44 says, “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”  Some call it mind control.  The Bible calls it being a new creature in Christ Jesus.  Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.  Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new .  II Corinthians 5:17 So many are lost.  So many are not concerned about the soul.  So many do not know the truth.  So many do not want to know the truth.  They are comfortable in what they think they know.  Not realizing if what they think they know does not line up with the Word of God (Bible), then what

I quoted a scripture the other day and someone tried to correct me with their interpretation.  I looked at it again and it came to me.  This is what most are doing today when it comes to the Word of God, The Bible.  They are taking the Bible, and redefining it based on what they feel, what they think, what someone else said, what someone else thinks, what they read some where. The Word of God is the Word of God.  It makes not difference what man says, the Bible is right.  In Revelations chapter 22: 18-19 it says, "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God will add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." According to the Word of God, a good minister will: put the brethren in remembrance of the fact that in the latter days some shall depart from the faith, there will be seducing spirits and doctrines of devils teaching and leading souls astray.  There will be some speaking lies in hypocrisy because their conscience has been seared with a hot iron.  There will be those that forbid to marry and some that will say what you eat will determine your salvation.  You can find this in I Timothy 4:1-3 .  Apostle Paul also instructed his spiritual son Timothy to preach the Word (II Timothy 4:2 ). The preachers job is to preach and teach what is found in the the Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation.  Preaching is not to make one feel comfortable.  Preaching is not to make one 'like' the Church.  Preaching is the means God chose to save the soul from a hell's fire. The Bible says, blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God ( Matthew 5:8 ).  The Bible says, to "follow peace with all men, and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).  The Bible says, now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his (Romans 8:9b ). Man can say whatever he wants.  But for those that say they want to go to Heaven, there are some things that have to take place first. Week after week I see, read or hear of all kinds of things going on that are being called 'holy' or 'Christian'.   I see, read or hear of all kinds of things that people say is 'of God'.  I hear and see all kinds of foolishness that people are calling Church.  And the problem will of this?   The Word of God does not 'back it up'.  What is holy about going to church half dressed?  What is holy about dancing to entertain?  What is holy about singing to entertain?  I see these 'Gospel' events stealing those that

In II Kings chapter 4, we find the Schunammite woman.  This portion of scripture teaches us that if the Lord gives you something, He will take care of it, if you believe.  If a true Prophet of God speaks into your life, the thing spoken will come to pass.  And, should it look like what God has given you starts to die, remember what was spoken into your life by the servant of the Lord. This woman had been gracious and hospitable to the Man of God.  She knew just when the Man of God would be passing her way.  He did it so often that she wanted to build a room or little chamber for the Man of God to turn into to rest. The Man of God acknowledged her kindness and asked her, "what is to be done for thee?"  Gehazi, Elisha's servant said, "she hath not child, and her husband is old".  The Man of God, Elisha, called the woman unto him and spoke into her life.  He told her that 'about this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son'.  The

The Bible teaches that parents are to "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it."  Proverbs 22:6 What way should a child go?  For Godly parents, the training will be centered around teaching the child the ways of the Lord and the Word of God.  The error that is made, is when the parent mixes up Godly ways with wordly ways.   The Child is to be taught the ways of the Lord beginning in the home.  God told Moses in Deuteronomy 6:4-7 "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.  And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest, in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up." Today while walking, the Lord spoke to my heart concerning Church leadership and government.  The Lord Jesus Christ is the head of the Church.  The Pastor is the head/leader of the local church assembly.  The Pastor is responsible to the Lord for the governing of the local Church; not the singers, not the musicians, not the Deacon, not the other ministers, not the teachers, not the Saints, and who so ever else. As long as the Pastor is preaching the word of God he or she is doing their job.  No one in the congregation is responsible for the governing of the church, but the Pastor. If a Pastor agrees to do something a member suggest and it causes trouble, the Pastor is responsible in the eyes of the Lord.    If a person does not like the decisions a Pastor makes, pray for him or her.  Just because one does not like the decision does not make it a sin. The Lord will take care of it.  Just be a Saint.  If you are not a Pastor, you will not see like the Pastor sees.  For there are more m

Earlier today, I made reference that some of the worst pain that can be experienced comes from ones family or someone you do the most for.  After all the years I have been in ministry, it still yet seems like this should not be.  But, then I thought about Jesus.  The Bible says He came unto His own and His own received Him not.  Jesus came to His people, the Jews to bring salvation and deliverance and they rejected Him.  Paul and Barnabas were in Antioch they went to the synagogue on the Sabbath and sat down for the reading of the Word of God.  After the reading they asked Paul and Barnabas if they have any words of exhortation for the people and, they gave them permission to speak.  Paul stood up and proceeded to recant the history of Israel from the time of Egypt to Jesus.  Many heard and asked that Paul and Barnabas stay a few more days and teach again.  The Bible says in Acts 13:45, "But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy and spake against those thing

What is in your heart?  Who is the real you? The Bible teaches to keep your heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life."  Proverbs 4:23  The Bible also teaches, For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee."  Proverbs 23:7 Part of having a walk with the Lord is to live in truth.  Live in the truth of the Gospel.  Live in truth with how one deals with others.  One of the ways the Work of the Lord is hindered is when people do things because someone told them to instead of because the Word of God says to. All that profess Christ as Lord and Savior obey the Word of God with gladness.   Jesus said 'if you love me, keep my commandments.' John 14:15 Then in John 14:21 the Bible says, "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he is is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."     I John 2:4

The other day, I had a person tell me that they are into energy.  They told me they believe in energy and not some spirit that is over 2000 years old.  They told me that the 2000 year old spirit is out dated now. Everything in me stood up!!  What kind of spirit is going around now misleading people?  If it ever was a time for the Church to be the Church it is now.  If there ever was a time for the Saints to stand and be Saints it is now.  If there ever was a time for the Holiness to show forth, it is now. The Word of God commands the people of God to love they Lord with all they heart, and with all thy  soul and with all thy mind. There is something about loving the Lord will all that is with in you.  When you love the Lord like that, you will not allow anyone or anything to come between you and your God!  For in order to stand in this last and evil day, one has to love Jesus like that.  Perilous times are coming upon the land.  It will take an unmovable love for the Lord to withstand. This is day that the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it. This is a good day to decide to obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ and live the God chosen abundant life.   If you have health, strength, family, needs being met, this is a good day to tell the Lord thank you and obey His word. If you lack health, strength, family, needs being met, come to the Lord.  For he has said he shall supply all our need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19) . Jesus loves you.  He just can not condone sin.  Why?  For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23 ).  And, Jesus did not come for anyone to die, but so that men can live. I get asked all the time, how to do this, have a happy life.  My response, 'its all in Jesus'.  For in Jesus, He makes things alright.  Even in the midst of life's storms, He makes things all right. The Bible teaches that man shall not live by bread alone. But, by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4 and Luke 4:4).  What words actually proceedeth out of the mouth of God?  Well, those words are found in the Bible.  John 1:1 says, "in the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word was God."  Then the chapter goes on to say, "and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us"  (verse 14a). If a soul is going to be saved, it is going to take the Word of God.  It is going to take the Word of God preached to the soul.  It is going to take that soul seeking out the ways of the Lord and becoming a doer of the Word he or she hears preached. In Proverbs 28:9 it states, "He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination." An abomination is something the Lord hates.  If a person does want to sit under sound doctrine so the born again experience can take place, that persons prayer

Psalms 34:19 says, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all."  This is a scripture with promise. Afflictions are going to come to those that walk up right.  The Saint has to know that tribulation worketh patience and patience experience, and experience and hope and hope maketh not ashamed.  The Bible says it like this, "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience, and experience hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."   Romans 5:3-5 . Trials come to make the believer strong.  Strong in what?  Strong in faith towards the Lord.  For the Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. The Lord wants to bless His people and make ways for them.  The people of God must have faith not just when things are good, but when it's time to go through.

The world says today is Good Friday.  I am not sure where that came from as I can not find the term in the Bible.  In Isaiah 1:14 the Word says, "your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me, I am weary to bear them." I am beginning to understand why the Lord hates man made days.  For man made days can make a person do what the Word of God can not.  God says, "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" (10:25).  In other words, the Bible says we are to assemble together and even the more so as we see the Word being fulfilled.  Going to Church should be done every week as often as possible.  Every time, time is set aside for the believers to gather, the believers should gather.  But, more and more 'believers' are not gathering like they use to. I recently took the time to watch some of the movie, The Passion of the Christ.  I realize it is years old, many have stated how good it was, etc.  So, when it came on last evening I took the time to watch.  Who was the woman carrying the boy or small man that followed along in the crowd?  Why did they not show the veil in the temple splitting in two?  Instead they showed the temple being shaken-ed? Where in the scriptures does it say that Mary and Mary Magdalene wiped the blood of Jesus from the street?  Where in the scriptures does it say that Mary Magdalene gave Jesus a towel to wipe blood from his face?  These are added things that make the account untrue. Jesus came to seek and save the lost.  He did not come for men to try and hide their true selves.  Jesus came to save man from his or her true self. The only way to get delivered from sin, delivered from faults is to confess and repent of them them to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.   Trying to hide the real you so other will not criticize you will not save you.  Jesus already knows all about you.  He sees your coming and your going.  His eyes are in every place beholding the evil and the good.  He knows what you are made of.  He knows your heart.
