#God Gave it to Me,#Hold on,#Faith

In II Kings chapter 4, we find the Schunammite woman.  This portion of scripture teaches us that if the Lord gives you something, He will take care of it, if you believe.  If a true Prophet of God speaks into your life, the thing spoken will come to pass.  And, should it look like what God has given you starts to die, remember what was spoken into your life by the servant of the Lord.

This woman had been gracious and hospitable to the Man of God.  She knew just when the Man of God would be passing her way.  He did it so often that she wanted to build a room or little chamber for the Man of God to turn into to rest.

The Man of God acknowledged her kindness and asked her, "what is to be done for thee?"  Gehazi, Elisha's servant said, "she hath not child, and her husband is old".  The Man of God, Elisha, called the woman unto him and spoke into her life.  He told her that 'about this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son'.  The Shunammite woman thought Elisha was playing with her.  He was not.  The woman conceived and bore her son.

But, when the child grew, he went out to his father and complained that his head hurt.  The father told one of the lads, 'carry him to his mother.'  The Shunammite woman placed the child on her knees till noon.  Then the child died.  But, the woman did not bury the child, which is what is usually done when someone dies.  She placed the child on the bed of the 'Man of God'.  She knew where to go. She did not consider her son dead.  On the bed is where you place someone that is sleeping.

The woman went to Mt. Carmel to see Elisha.  The woman reminded Elisha what he spoke into her life.  Elisha made his way to the child and his acts of faith, brought life back to the child.  The life did not come back into the child the  first time  Elisha went in to pray. For the first time, the child's body started to warm up.  But the second time Elisha went in, the child sneezed seven times and opened his eyes. The Shunammite woman was called into the room to get her son.  She bowed herself to the ground, took up her son and went out of the room.

If the Lord says it, that settles it.  There is a lot to learn from this scripture.  As you read and study it, I pray the Lord will speak life to your heart through it.
