Some equate the love the Bible speaks of with carnality, emotions, feelings, words. But when one studies the word of God, the Bible teaches that love is something that is done. And, it is not always buying or giving stuff, but love can be shown in thoughts and deeds.
"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not purred up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeh all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never fails: but where there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease, whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away." I Corinthians 13:4-8
And, the greatest love of all was demonstrated when God left Heaven, put on flesh, called the flesh son and then gave that flesh a name above all names, Jesus. Because of Jesus, there is a way for the soul of man kind to be reconciled back to God.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38
