During Bible study  this past Tuesday, the Lord had us to ask a question.  The question was, 'how do you show that you love Jesus?'  Sounds like an easy question to answer.  But when it was asked, the answers that come forth were answers using scriptures.  But that is now how you answer the question.

What do you do that says you love Jesus?  The Bible says for God so loved the world that he 'gave' his only begotten son.  How did God show his love?  He gave.  He did something for the sake of another, us.  He left heaven, came to earth, put on a robe of flesh, called the flesh son and then gave it a name above all names, Jesus.

What do you do that shows that you love Jesus?  It is more to it that attending Church, singing, praising God, paying your tithe and giving your offering.  What do you do that shows that you love Jesus?  What have you given of yourself?  What sacrifices have you made for the sake of someone else?

Having anniversary services does not say that one loves the Lord.  Coming to Church every time the doors open does not say that one loves the Lord.

What do you do that says you love Jesus?

The Bible says, "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren"  I John 3:16.  "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another".  John 13:35.  Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law".  Romans 13:10.  What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?  I will take the cup of salvation ,, and call upon the name of the Lord".  Ps. 116:12,13

The Lord wants to use His people to be a witness of His goodness, power and saving grace.  But, if the people do not humble themselves and follow after Jesus, obey the Gospel what  good is all the church going?

 The first thing that takes place at salvation is a love for Jesus is planted in the heart of the converted soul.  That love moves the converted sinner to desire to please the Lord and do His will according to the Word of God, the Bible.  My God we better get back to loving the Lord with all our heart and all our mind before time runs out.

#A Lot of Singing,#Shouting,#Tongue Talking,#Playing

Music was one of the things that drew me to want to go to Church when I was not saved.   I use to love to hear and 'feel' the spirit of the songs.  Back then, the singers would sing unto the Lord.  They were not paid to sing.  They were not seeking recording contracts.  They would sing unto the Lord.  The would sing about the Lord.  So, when one went to hear the singers, your soul got touched whether you wanted it to or not. I can remember going to the Holiness Churches.  The praise was different too.  When the Saints praised God back then, it was real.  When the Saints did dance 'in the Spirit', it was real.  You could feel it.  There was always this 'presence' in the Holiness Church that I could not explain....then.  But that presence kind of held you captive, whether you wanted it o or not.  And, sometimes Church would go on for hours, but no one cared.  And, if one of the Saints said something to you that the Lord gave them for you, you knew it and felt it

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."   Revelations 22:18-19 The scriptures are plain.  The Bible is not to be played with.  The words written in it are to be taught and preached unto the soul of men.  To add to the what the Lord has already said will bring plagues upon man kind.  To take away from what the word says, will cause a person's part in the holy city (Heaven) to be removed.  So, why would anyone try and change what the Bible says?  Cute sayings do not lead a soul to salvation.  It takes the Word preached and taught.  The Bible says specifically that the word is God ( John 1:1 ).   The Bible says specifical
