#Testimony,#Your Past,#Jesus Saves

This scripture is on my heart this morning.  Revelations 12:11, "And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death".

True victory over sin and evil takes more than repeating cute sounding sayings.  Do not allow the spirit of hype make you to believe victory is yours.  The adversary of your soul knows what the Word of God says.  Over coming requires testimony.  One has to have to profession of Holiness.  For in Holiness there is not denomination, but Holy Ghost Power in operation.  In Holiness all of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ is believed and followed.  And as the Saint walk in the Holiness, they witness the saving power of God and they tell what the Lord has done or rather is doing for them.  When Jesus Christ shed His blood on  Calvary, He was making a way for whosoever will to enter into Holiness and walk in victory.

When the devil tempted Jesus, Jesus did not sing.  Jesus did not dance.  Jesus did not run.  He spoke the Word and rebuked the enemy.

Further down in Revelation chapter 12, the scripture states that "and the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD, AND HAVE THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST.

It takes obedience to the Word of God to over come.  And, the blood Jesus shed makes it possible.

#A Lot of Singing,#Shouting,#Tongue Talking,#Playing

Music was one of the things that drew me to want to go to Church when I was not saved.   I use to love to hear and 'feel' the spirit of the songs.  Back then, the singers would sing unto the Lord.  They were not paid to sing.  They were not seeking recording contracts.  They would sing unto the Lord.  The would sing about the Lord.  So, when one went to hear the singers, your soul got touched whether you wanted it to or not. I can remember going to the Holiness Churches.  The praise was different too.  When the Saints praised God back then, it was real.  When the Saints did dance 'in the Spirit', it was real.  You could feel it.  There was always this 'presence' in the Holiness Church that I could not explain....then.  But that presence kind of held you captive, whether you wanted it o or not.  And, sometimes Church would go on for hours, but no one cared.  And, if one of the Saints said something to you that the Lord gave them for you, you knew it and felt it

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."   Revelations 22:18-19 The scriptures are plain.  The Bible is not to be played with.  The words written in it are to be taught and preached unto the soul of men.  To add to the what the Lord has already said will bring plagues upon man kind.  To take away from what the word says, will cause a person's part in the holy city (Heaven) to be removed.  So, why would anyone try and change what the Bible says?  Cute sayings do not lead a soul to salvation.  It takes the Word preached and taught.  The Bible says specifically that the word is God ( John 1:1 ).   The Bible says specifical
