"Thus saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways, and, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.  But they said, We will not walk therein."  Jeremiah 6:16

The prophet Jeremiah the prophet was sent by God to tell the people what thus said the Lord.  In verse 7 of the same chapter the Bible says, "..for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak."  The people of God had fallen away from the Lord.  Jeremiah 2:5  says, "Thus saith the Lord, what iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?"

Vain-ineffectual or unsuccessful, without real significance, value or importance.   The people of God were living in a way that was not pleasing to the Lord and did not reflect holiness unto the Lord.  God went on to say "and I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination (Jeremiah 2:7).

Today, 2015, the people of God should examine themselves.  Are you living a vain life?  Are you living contrary to the scriptures?  Have you fallen away from holiness?

Seek the old path before it is everlasting too late.

#A Lot of Singing,#Shouting,#Tongue Talking,#Playing

Music was one of the things that drew me to want to go to Church when I was not saved.   I use to love to hear and 'feel' the spirit of the songs.  Back then, the singers would sing unto the Lord.  They were not paid to sing.  They were not seeking recording contracts.  They would sing unto the Lord.  The would sing about the Lord.  So, when one went to hear the singers, your soul got touched whether you wanted it to or not. I can remember going to the Holiness Churches.  The praise was different too.  When the Saints praised God back then, it was real.  When the Saints did dance 'in the Spirit', it was real.  You could feel it.  There was always this 'presence' in the Holiness Church that I could not explain....then.  But that presence kind of held you captive, whether you wanted it o or not.  And, sometimes Church would go on for hours, but no one cared.  And, if one of the Saints said something to you that the Lord gave them for you, you knew it and felt it

"For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."   Revelations 22:18-19 The scriptures are plain.  The Bible is not to be played with.  The words written in it are to be taught and preached unto the soul of men.  To add to the what the Lord has already said will bring plagues upon man kind.  To take away from what the word says, will cause a person's part in the holy city (Heaven) to be removed.  So, why would anyone try and change what the Bible says?  Cute sayings do not lead a soul to salvation.  It takes the Word preached and taught.  The Bible says specifically that the word is God ( John 1:1 ).   The Bible says specifical
