Being a Pastor is not an easy task. Caring about people is not an easy task. However, both are necessary. It takes the call of the Lord on a life to Pastor Gods flock.
In random conversations with people, I find a trend that most are beginning to to accept the Gospel message as unnecessary to enter into Heaven. Most are looking for relief, answers to life's problems or family issue somewhere else. And, yes, there have been many that have failed in the Church and that tends to make it appear as if the the Church is not necessary, irrelevant.
There is sickness everywhere. People all over are getting killed or hurt by life an/or situations. Children are being hurt and misused. I have many ask me where is God if all this is going on? Why doesn't He do something, since He is God.
But rarely do I hear anyone say, most of what is happening in the world around us is due to man turning his back on God. I do not hear a lot of people saying this. The wages of sin is still death. Proverbs 13:13 says, "whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded". Proverbs 15:32 says, "he that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul; but he that heareth reproof geteth understanding".
How many times has the Gospel message gone out, telling people to repent? How many souls have been invited to Church to find salvation that refused to go? How many young people have made statements like, "when I grow up I am never going to set foot in a Church again".
Rarely do I hear anyone say that because of sin and disobedience to the Word of God, the state of man kind continues to deteriorate. It is as man kind feels he can do what ever he wants, when ever he wants, how ever he wants and it should be OK. But, man kind does not have this kind of thinking with their jobs. A person does not go into his or her work place and do whatever they feel like, when they feel like it. He or she usually follows the rules of the work place if they want to continue to work there.
But then when it comes to the Church, man kind wants to do the same thing, whatever, whenever and however. The scripture says is like this, "All the ways of a man are clean in his won eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits". "Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the Lord pondereth the hearts" (Proverbs16:2 and Proverbs 21:2). The Bibles says blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God (Matthew 5:8). The Bible says except a man be born of the water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (John 3:5).
The Bible is the manual for those intent on going to Heaven. But, then there are those that believe hell does not exists. So they do not see a need to read or obey the Bible. Nothing could be farther from the truth, if one plans on going to Heaven. Romans 3:4 says Let God be true, but every man a liar;.
It is time to get saved before it is ever lasting too late.
